Description

From Screeners to Action: Unifying MTSS Data Through the DOE Gradebook

This interactive 45-minute session introduces a practical model for unifying academic screener data, DOE Gradebook analytics, and intervention tracking within the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). The workshop illustrates how connecting the DOE Gradebook, Screener Results Explorer Dashboard, and STARS Intervention Tracker can create a seamless data workflow that strengthens the identification, programming, and monitoring of students receiving Academic Intervention Services (AIS).
Participants will engage in hands-on activities that demonstrate how to align Gradebook categories with screener domains, analyze trends to identify students needing Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions, and document supports in the STARS Intervention Tracker. The session focuses on building staff capacity to interpret and use multiple data sources cohesively, transforming the DOE Grades from a gradebook into a catalyst for instructional improvement.
